Relationships
Little world is an immersive VR app and a mobile app to help thelong-distance couple to keep their relationship. Little World shortens the distance and creates a private world for couples. The Project was our proposal to a Design Challenge by UXDA, User Experience Design Award, China's biggest user experience design challenge. The project was made for Xiaomi VR, and specifically for the Chinese audience. Little World was the national top30 of the UXDA competition and national third place of the VR category.

Distance Relationship
We have tried numerous ways to stay connected, talk through skype, constantly interact with each other on social media, even installing those love Apps for couples. We tried them all. We fount those things were not even helping. With so much information lost in between, skype time sometimes means fight time.

What if...
We want to create an immersive experience where you can simply enjoy the feeling of being with each other. We want to have more information sent to the other person, emotion, body language, whisper. We want to connect people who love each other no matter where they are.

After rounds of testing and iterating, we landed on these core feature.They come in both HMD and mobile phone so you can use it day and night.In little world VR, couples can do:

Brand Design
Little World gives couples the overall feeling of being together. We want to make a private and unique world only for couples. The logo represents a long-distance couple who “disconnect” in space but connected in the little world. Instead of using pink, the little world chose #3AB1FF as the primary color. The pinkish blue stands for cute, love and dream. It makes Little World different from many other couple apps.

Mobile Interface Design
Little World mobile app lets the users record every event, every plan and every moment that couples do together. Every moment is important is worthwhile kept safe, so we make all the cards unified and elegant but with small surprises.

VR Interface Design
Little World VR is the place long-distance couples spend their time together. To create the most immersive space for VR dating, the interface elements are straightforward and working perfectly even without text. The environment also responds to the activity, UI will appear differently in different scenarios.
Clear, straight forward VR interface
Defining the brand helped us a lot on finding the right color and visual language for a lot of our user interfaces, animations, and sound effects. This is a good lesson on using a brand to align the vision and get everyone excited to work on one thing. 💙

When you jump into your work space, Chrome, Slack, Photoshop, Cinema 4D and many more are all there. You can expect this system to work like a great PC with no compromises in an unlimited workspace.

Result
Passion is key
This was truly a challenge at the time, none of us had solid experience prototype or even fake VR product. We were in 4 different countries, scheduling team meetings and actually have everyone there was really really hard.

What kept us moving was we really really like the concept and genuinely would like to make something we are proud of out of it. This by far the most meaningful and exciting group I have worked with. All group members are getting great results from this work too. Some got internship invitation from Xiaomi VR. Some use this piece and got offers from top design schools around the world. We all become good friends since then.💙
